| According to Pwinsider.com, the launch date for the WWE Network will be on April 1st, 2012. That is the same day as WrestleMania.
- The Sports Business Daily has a big article up on the WWE Network, including many details about the launch. Here are the highlights…
* WWE is telling potential partners that the network will launch in 40 million homes.
* Comcast is working with WWE to help them clear cable and satellite systems as part of their ongoing relationship now that Comcast merged with NBC/Universal.
* A Network head has not be named, but WWE is currently looking for someone with reality TV experience. |

| Yeah, it will never come to sattalite either, 24/7 never did. Besides from the ad I saw last night, it looks like all it's going to do is show Raw, SD and some stupid show where they take ex wrestlers and dump them in a house so they can be ridiculed and made fun of. Nice job Jackoff Vince. |

| I bet it is nothing more than reality crap with very little in the way of wrestling, classic or otherwise. Makes me sick. Being a WCCW fan, you would think they would air some of the old "Saturday Night Wrestling" or "Championship Sports" episodes from KTVT Ch. 11 at 10pm on Saturday nights...just like back in the 70's and 80's. Instead, we'll get a Diva-saturated "Big Brother" (or "Big Sister") clone in all likelihood. WWE Reality network I guess. |

If they put a bunch of former wrestlers in a room and they discussed old-school wrestling that would actually be fun...a "Big Brother" copycat job will be about as entertaining as watching grass grow or wallpaper drying. |

| Its unreal how everyone is "Shitting" on it before it even airs. And I thought I was the jaded one. This may turn out to be a fail. But just because they announce 1 reality show doesn't mean anything. Its a 24 hour network. they have 167 more hours left in the week for programming.
I for one have guarded optimism for this. A possible chance to see old AWA tapes as well as other libraries they have ammassed. And who knows maybe they will be able to get ahold of Mid-south tapes or WWC. Now that they have a network VKM may be more agressive in getting even more stuffs rights.
Then again we may get 15 hours a day of reruns of No Holds Barred |

You nailed it, Supe. Vince owns damn near every piece of wrestling footage in history of wrestling in the United States and Canada. Do you guys really think he's not going to show anything except the current product?
I'm not sure what you are expecting from the "legends" reality show. It is essentially atheletes that can't go anymore. At least Vince is giving them jobs.
The old-school fans will never be happy because Vince owns the footage and it won't get shown exactly how it was back in the day. No, because it has to be cleaned up, formatted for digital TV, and transferred. Maybe if the promoters and bookers used their fucking heads and thought of the future, they would have taken better care to preserve their product and legacy instead of being cheap and recycling tapes, that is the ones that even bothered to tape.
The new school fans will never be happy because the bad-ass old school wrestling we do get to see will be tons of actual wrestling in TV studios, jobber matches, and not a lot of high flying. Without the arena sized crowds, pyro, personalized theme music, and ridiculous high spots, they will be completely lost. They have little to no idea where it came from and zero appreciation for how wrestling has evolved through the years.
And somehow, it is all Vince McMahon's fault. |

| Well said Slash.
Don't get me wrong IF its just some all reality and new WWE stuff it will probably suck. But I doubt Vince isn't going to let that insane libarary he has go to waste. Also maybe he will air FCW on there. (FCW RULES!) I mean we have WCCW, ECW, AWA, WCW, SMW, OVW, CWF, GCW, Stampede and to be honest I am not sure what else he owns. But to think there may be one place to watch this great classic stuff is worth having them air a couple of silly shows. We complain that it sucks that Vince owns everything. Is the alternative better? mrs Watts isnt planning on doing Anything with Mid South library, What about Don Owens stuff in Portland or the debacle of Memphis' library? I wish Vince owned those libraries at least we may be able to see them again re-digitzed. |

| I think eventually Vince will name the right price for the Mid South library. That is, in my opinion, the last big one he doesn't have. I say that because the Memphis library is scattered everywhere. The ex Mrs. Watts is in a prime position to name her price and Vince will pay it. The cool thing is though, many people already have copies of it. I have the whole library. No idea how I got it though. |
